Superman Official Music Video Out Now!
21 June 2026
What started as an idea, a few lyrics on a page, and a dream has become part of a journey I could never have imagined when I first wrote this song.
I'm incredibly excited to share that my song “Superman” by Jason Duloo is officially under consideration during the First Round of Voting for the 69th Annual GRAMMY® Awards in two categories:
SONG OF THE YEAR
BEST POP SOLO PERFORMANCE
For me, this is more than just a milestone in music. It's a moment that represents years of dreaming, creating, and believing that something born in Durban, South Africa, could one day reach an international stage.
“Superman” has been part of my musical journey for many years, and seeing it reach the First Round Voting stage of the GRAMMY® Awards consideration process is something I will never take for granted.
A special thank you to The Recording Collective in California for their guidance and support throughout the submission process. I'm incredibly grateful for the role their team has played in helping me reach this point.
Reimagining “Superman” for 2026 was about more than giving an old song a new sound. I wanted to create something that carried the unmistakable identity of South Africa. From the powerful African drums and electrifying guitar riffs to the rhythms that reflect the place I call home, every element was an opportunity to celebrate the musical richness of our country.
One of the most unforgettable parts of this journey was filming the music video in my hometown of Durban.
We took to the streets before sunrise, capturing the city as it slowly came to life. The first light breaking over the Indian Ocean, the familiar streets, the people, and the energy of a city filled with history, culture, and extraordinary stories.
Durban is more than just the place where I grew up. It's a city that shaped my identity, my music, and my dreams. I wanted the world to experience a piece of that through “Superman.”
South Africa has an extraordinary musical heritage, and I'm proud to contribute my own voice to that story. To see a song inspired by my roots now being considered during the GRAMMY® Awards First Round Voting process is a moment I will always treasure.
From the streets of Durban, South Africa, to the First Round of Voting for the 69th Annual GRAMMY® Awards — what an extraordinary chapter in this journey!
To everyone who has supported me, shared my music, encouraged me, and believed in what I'm creating, thank you. Every message, every listen, and every word of encouragement has been part of this journey.
And while this is a moment worth celebrating, I believe the best chapters are still ahead.
Listen to “Superman” by Jason Duloo on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms.
